ArcGIS: The Use of Alias Tables in Geocoding Addresses

This two-hour, online, instructor-led, interactive seminar covers how you might implement an Alias table to obtain greater geocoding success. We will demonstrate how to create an alias table in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access based on common places and on your frequently unmatched addresses.

Topics: working within ArcCatalog, geocoding, attributes table, sorting, exporting, address locators, MS Excel,and MS Access.

Tuition: Tuition for this course is $45 and must be paid in advance to secure a place in the webinar. Tuition includes instruction and a $10 nonrefundable data processing fee. The tuition is on a per-person basis. Participants are on their honor to have only one person per tuition and per internet terminal.

Requirements: The student is required to have some experience with ArcGIS. It is helpful Each student should have a pencil or pen with a notebook handy for note-taking. It is up to the participant to make certain he or she can access the seminar website prior to the webinar scheduled time. When we confirm your registration, we will provide instructions and a test time for you to check your connection. We suggest having an IT person handy in case local administrator privileges are required. It is rare that someone would be unable to attend due to technical issues. If we cannot get this working for you, a full and complete refund will be issued. Then, please log into the webinar 10 minutes prior to start time to allow for any last-minute adjustments.
