This course is designed to provide Mastery of ArcGIS. This includes all of the topics from the Beginning and Analytical courses plus an in-depth practice in Geocoding and the Cartographic Layout.

Students will receive several texts covering the following main topics: Software, Data & Decision-making, Geocoding, Basic Analysis, Advanced Analysis, and Cartography in the Layout View.

Each of the days may be taken individually or together as the Master's Series.

Students will be asked prior to class which version they currently have and the class will handle the differences between 8 and 9.

Topics: working within ArcCatalog, metadata, displaying geographic data, creating maps in ArcMap, tables, the natural order of layers, properties, map/distance units, coordinate systems(basics), colors, bringing in x,y data, finding x,y points, basic geocoding to streets and parcels, geocoding properties, interpreting unmatched addresses, layout elements, templates and custom layout, Join, Relate, Spatial Join, Dissolve, Merge, Clip, Intersect, Union, Find, Sort, Export, Query Expressions, Finding Features using a Graphic, Finding Features using a Radius, Finding Features within a Distance, Select by Location, Manipulating Selected Features, Statistics, labeling techniques, annotation, working with difficult data, finding data on-line, choosing good data, and more!

Tuition: Tuition for this course is $1695 and must be paid in advance to secure a place in the class. Tuition includes instruction, materials and a $50 nonrefundable data processing fee.

Requirements: The student is not required to have experience with ArcGIS. Each student should bring a pencil or pen to assist with the workbook exercises.
